Join a diverse group of scholars driven by curiosity and collaboration. Nearly 25% of Hamline undergraduates transferred from two- or four-year colleges or universities, and we value your experience and contributions to our classrooms and community. Bring your ideas and explore your strengths: at Hamline you direct your destiny, we provide the momentum.

At Hamline, we strive to make the process of transferring credits as seamless as possible for transfer students. In fact, the Office of Retention and Transfer Student Services is committed to assisting all students as they become successful, integrated members of the Hamline community -- and there is a special focus on transfer student support.

We understand that you may have many questions about your transfer credits, financial aid, academic advising, and how to get involved at Hamline. Transfer Student Services exists to help you find the resources you need to answer those questions.

For more on transfer credit, working toward a transfer degree, and Hamline's TRANSFERmation program, its credentials as a transfer college and transfer university, view our student transfer admission guide home page.

In my own words

Willie Wong"I was a transfer student myself. I initially started at a four-year institution and transferred to a two-year college prior to Hamline. I was a few years older than the traditional students, but I assimilated into the student body quickly and smoothly. I participated in student organizations and intercollegiate athletics. Now I am back to assist all transfer students in achieving their goals and finding success."--Transfer counselor Willie Wong
