Lunch with Frederic Chopin, November 2
March 1, 2010 is the 200th anniversary of one of the greatest composers for the piano in history, Frederic Chopin. On the first Monday of each month at noon, members and alumni of the Hamline International Piano Institute and faculty will perform a 30 minute concert drawn from the vast collection of Chopin's musical genius, at Sundin Music Hall. All are welcome. It's free and there will be cookies afterward!

Atomic Bomb Exhibit and Discussion, November 4
The public is welcome to come hear a Hiroshima survivor's story and view the Hiroshima Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Exhibit in the Kay Fredericks Room. Presentations by Mr. Nakanishi and Mr. Steve Leeper of the 2020 Vision Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Discussion will follow from 5:30-7 p.m.

Hamline University Theatre will present the first main stage show of its 79th season: "Urinetown: The Musical" November 6, 7, and 12-14. This satirical musical comedy paints a dystopian future where water has become a precious commodity and public urinals are controlled by the Urine Good Company, a nefarious organization that forces people to pay to pee. A Report on the Conditions of Palestinian Political Prisoners, November 11
Human rights activist Ala Jaradat, the program manager of Addameer, the Palestinian prisoners rights organization in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, and a former Palestinian political prisoner, will be sharing his experiences campaigning against political prosecution, for the rights of political detainees, actively working against the use of torture, arbitrary detention, the use of isolation, and other forms of political repression.
