Email Forwarding Service

Now your e-mail address can carry your Hamline pride, no matter what Internet service provider you use or how many times you change your email account.

What is email forwarding?

With permanent email forwarding, you can have one email address through Hamline, which will never change. No more sending out notifications to all your friends when you change your Internet service provider. No more trying to remember whether your address is now a .com or a .net. Once you’ve signed up with us, all you need to do is let us know your current address, and we’ll take care of getting your email to you.

Essentially it’s a “redirecting” of email. Your friends will send an email message to you with the Hamline address (firstname.lastname@alumni.hamline.edu), and our service will instantaneously forward that message to your actual email address.

(This does not mean that Hamline is your service provider. We are simply offering to hold a permanent address for you.)

Sounds great! How do I sign up?

It’s simple. Just send us the email address you want us to send your emails to (whether it is your home or work or other address) and we’ll set up a new alias – firstname.lastname@alumni.hamline.edu – for you on our server. Once that’s set up, any mail sent to your Hamline alumni address will be redirected to you! Any changes or questions regarding the email alias service should be directed to the Associations of Hamline Alumni.

*Please note: It may take up to one week to complete your email alias request. This is not an automatic process and your new email alias is not created as soon as you submit this request form. You will be sent an email from the Associations of Hamline Alumni welcoming you once your email alias has been set-up.
